Hi! I’m Ali.
Although I always dreamed of a big city life, I’m currently on the small Midwestern town circuit. I grew up in small town Ohio, went to undergrad in a slightly larger smaller town Ohio, and then graduate school in a same-size town, but different state — crossing the border into Michigan. I am currently a.b.d. (all but dissertation) in graduate school and frankly have no idea what I plan on doing after this.
Reveries of a Solitary Jogger is a blog about life in graduate school, running, books, and whatever else happens to come to mind. Mainly this blog is a way to do something other than work on my dissertation on Jean-Jacques Rousseau.
And because he makes and will continue to make frequent cameos, here is a picture of myself and my fiance, Bruno.
